Winner of the Best Employer Branding Award 2021.   As part of the Plan & Design team, you will be involved in defining the physical design standards and architecture to enable the installation of a fibre network adjacent to an existing electrical network.   • Performing FMR submissions quality reviews
  • Attend meetings and communicate with contractors, to establish their needs
  • Aid with inquiries from different staff, departments, or contractors
  • Track FMR submissions and produce reports.
  • Maintain the team trackers updated.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures
  • Maintain team accomplishments by communicating essential information
Experience & Qualifications:
  • 3rd level degree in science, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent IT skills, and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus
  • Familiarity with GIS system is a plus
  • Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisational skills and capacity to prioritise a large workload
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Purpose: Act as SIRO HSEQ Dept. field based liaison, overseeing the exercise of SIRO’s Construction Client role in the region, and escalating concerns as they arise to ensure speedy resolution of issues. Context: The Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) team are responsible for developing, implementing and managing health, safety and environmental procedures for the roll-out of SIRO infrastructure. The team work closely with ESB networks (ESB Networks are contracted to perform 40 years of maintenance for the programme), the Build Management team, and specialist Utility contractors. Responsibilities:
  • Promote safe systems of work in line with relevant environmental, health and safety legislation and SIRO procedures, ensuring that safety is always first.
  • Partner with SIRO field teams and management as we work with Contractor PSDP & PSCS in their exercise of construction safety roles.
  • Assist in the identification of hazards and plan controls to reduce risks and prevent accidents.
  • Monitor and complete safety inspection audits locally. Ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
  • Complete investigations of incidents and accidents, ensuring that follow up actions are implemented and closed by relevant parties.
  • Lead and support initiatives to raise awareness and drive a positive culture around HSEQ.
  • Monitor that safety Inductions are completed by contractors/PSCS/PSDP and SIRO workers on site, reviewing their have EHS training and Authorisations as required.
  • Participate in SIRO Training, Assessment & Authorisation processes
  • Keep up to date with developments in Environmental, Health, Safety & Welfare.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge
  • Minimum 10 years experience of LV & MV power/networks electrical infrastructure installation (overhead and underground).
  • Strong organisational and IT skills essential.
  • Skilled at working within multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Full clean drivers licence as travel to sites and meetings will be required.
Additional
  • Experience of major telecommunications, windfarm, civils, urban trenching or utility projects is an advantage.
  • Training Needs Identification & Design (part1) and Training Delivery & Evaluation (part2) courses (QQI or equivalent) qualifications an advantage.
  • Approved Instructor qualifications specific to the ESBN network is an advantage.
  • Environmental management qualifications is an advantage.
  • Qualifications in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work is an advantage.

  • To assist both the service delivery executive and operations director in day to day activities.
  • Manage open Enterprise orders
  • Communication: Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders including, the Site Service Provider (SSP), internal Plan & Design, Quality, Commercial and Finance teams
