The GigaBitHub Initiative – Terms and Conditions

1. The proposed premises must have accessible proximity to the natural fibre footprint of the
SIRO network in the town.

2. Area of the premises must be at least 464 square metres.

3. The proposed premises must comply and be certified with Statutory Building Regulations –
fire escapes, health, and safety.

4. The premises must be in a minimum lease period of 5 years.

5. The building suggested for connection requires minimum Cat 5e cabling (preferably Cat 6)
to support gigabit speeds.

6. Preference to projects which are actively engaged with:
• Supporting local employment
• Attracting and supporting new start-up businesses
• Having prior referenceable engagement with Local County Councils/Local Enterprise Office/IDA Bodies.

7. Applicants are required to agree to enter in to a 5-year term with Vodafone for the provision of connectivity, as follows:
i. First 2 years of this will be free of charge as part of the GigaBitHubs initiative, with payment beginning in year 3, for the remaining 3 years.
ii. The connectivity package will be agreed between both parties in advance of joining this initiative.

8. The premises must have a minimum 5 years’ lease period available from date of entry into contract with Vodafone.

9. Promotion of Initiative
• Each hub participating in the Initiative will agree to work with Vodafone and SIRO to promote the partnership during the lifetime of the Initiative, including but not limited to:
• A GigaBitHub Initiative branded wall in an area of high footfall in each hub, location to be agreed in advance between the parties.
• Display of Initiative logo on hub website
• Participation by each Hub in PR and promotional activities to support the communication of the Initiative, inc. as a case study for the Initiative more generally.
• Hub to facilitate bi-annual engagement in-hub events for Vodafone and SIRO respectively with Hub clients to promote increased awareness of both companies and their products and services.
• Hub to allocate a dedicated branded meeting space within their Hub to facilitate Vodafone or SIRO meetings, as required.
