Plan & Design Project Manager

SIRO was launched in 2015 as a joint venture between Vodafone and ESB. Our key mission is to build a nationwide 100% fibre broadband network – we commit to changing Ireland’s telecom landscape and delivering the fastest most innovative broadband experience to the Irish consumer. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update technical reports and documentation to high level of presentation.
  • Attend meetings and communicate with wider P&D team, contractors, ESB Networks and other stakeholders to establish their needs.
  • Track design progress and actively search for updates.
  • Generate reports as required.
  • Record submissions and file accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures

Key Skills Required

  • Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise a large workload
  • Excellent IT skills, experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint),
  • Experience in Smartsheet, QGIS, ArcGIS Platforms desirable,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills encompassing an ability to prepare reports
  • Ability to work and share knowledge and competencies within a team structure

Education Qualification

  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience desirable

New Developments Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that new developments are being captured into designs for build in active towns.
  • Identify anything that may have been missed (as the main build contractor is gone from the town) and discuss with Plan & Design team to re-assign.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Very good educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering
  • Proven working experience in project management in the information technology sector
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus

Quantity Surveyor

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Build this role is a great opportunity to develop your career within an exciting and dynamic company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaison with on-site SIRO supervisors/agents and commercial team.
  • Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by their Manager.
  • Shadowing senior staff members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible.
  • Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
  • Traveling to sites, monitoring site works and carrying out site measures.
  • Review the electrical network planned upgrades.
  • Always observing and adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Participating in meetings and attending workshops and other training initiatives.
  • Checking contractor designs, analysing data and reporting on findings accordingly to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Revise and assess commercial statements.
  • Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence, whilst developing and maintaining professional relationships with all staff members.
  • Assist in the day-to-day administrative duties as applicable.

  • Minimum two years experience.
  • A valid Irish driver’s license required.
