Terms and Conditions of Consent

PLAY ALONG WITH RTE’s HOME OF THE YEAR FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN

Promoter

The competition promoter is SIRO DAC (SIRO), The Herbert Building, the Park, Carrickmines, Dublin 18 D18 K8Y4

1. Eligibility

(a) Entry is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over.

(b) Employees of SIRO, its agents, contractors or associated companies, and members of their immediate households, are not eligible to enter.

(d) By entering, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. How to Enter

(a) To enter, participants must during the Competition Period:

Like, react to, comment on the competition prompt posted on SIRO’s official Facebook or Instagram account.
Follow either SIRO’s Facebook or Instagram account

(b) No purchase is necessary. Entry is free.

Optional engagement steps, such as sharing content or stories, or following SIRO on social media, do not affect eligibility, are not required to enter, and do not affect the prospect of winning the prize.

3. Competition Period

The competition opens on Monday 2nd of March 2026 at 9 am and closes on Monday 20th of April 2026 at 6 pm. Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be included.

4. Winner Selection

(a) The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the Competition Period.

(b) The draw will take place on Tuesday 21st April 2026.

5. Prize

(a) The winner will receive:

A home design consultation with Home of the Year judge Siobhan Lam, subject to schedule availability, and to be used by 1st of April 2027

Interior Consultation with Creative Director of April and the Bear – Siobhan Lam consisting of 1.5 to 2 hours consult for one room space only, which includes:

On-site or Online Home Consultation*
Moodboards
Shopping Lists

*on-site visit is available to Dublin addresses only, for winners outside of Dublin the consultation can take place either at Siobhan Lam’s interior design store, April and the Bear, located at 213 Rathmines Rd Lower, Rathmines, Dublin, D06 A0E7 or online via Teams or Zoom video call.

(b) The prize is nontransferable, and no cash alternative will be offered; however, SIRO may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize is unavailable.

6. Winner Notification and Claiming the Prize

(a) The winner will be notified via direct message on Facebook or Instagram platform within seven days of the draw.

(b) The winner must reply within five days of notification to confirm eligibility and acceptance of the prize; otherwise, SIRO may select an alternative winner.

7. Verification

(a) SIRO may request reasonable proof of identity or eligibility and may withhold or withdraw the prize if such proof is not provided.

(b) SIRO may disqualify entries that are incomplete, misleading, offensive or in breach of the platform’s terms or these terms & conditions.

(c) SIRO may reject entries that are automated, duplicated, inappropriate or otherwise invalid, or that involve tagging of nongenuine accounts

8. Publicity

By entering, participants agree that SIRO may:

Repost their entry
Reference their first name and social handle
Announce the winner on SIRO’s Facebook and Instagram channels

Any reposting or announcement by SIRO will not include additional personal data.

9. Data Protection: SIRO will process personal data in accordance with SIRO’s privacy notice, available at HERE . Personal data will be used solely as needed to administer the competition, including verifying eligibility, contacting the winner and arranging the prize. SIRO will retain personal data only for as long as required for these purposes.

10. Social Media Disclaimer: Entrants acknowledge that the competition is operated solely by SIRO, and that neither Instagram nor Facebook is responsible for the competition.

11. Cancellation or Amendment: SIRO may amend, suspend or cancel the competition where reasonably necessary (for example, due to circumstances outside SIRO’s control).
